Masseria Santanna in spring: the Sea Urchins and Terra di Puglia. An advance of the holiday season !!
Masseria Santanna will open the new season with the arrival of spring. Preparations are underway to make your stay with us a unique experience. We offer you a break in the attractive Murgia of Trulli. It will be a relaxing stay in the Apulian countryside, between stretches of grassland and oak; from here you can start enjoying a foretaste of the sunniest season. If you move to the coast, walking between Polignano a Mare and Torre Canne, you can find many kiosks on the beach where you can taste the famous red caviar of the South, the Riccio di Mare. You can sample it and serve with a Tocchetto bread and a glass of white wine, savoring the succulent and aphrodisiac red pulp. It ‘a real feast for the senses. If you are particularly sweet tooth, you can be prepared for you spaghetti with sea urchin, possibly in white, to feel better the flavor. But if you want to enjoy relaxing in the yard of our farm, we have a few kms from us an excellent fish market where you can book urchins and other seafood. You will have a superb aperitif in the countryside, caressed by the first spring sun. If you are lovers of the sea or of the seafood, you can discover the beautiful villages of our hinterland: Alberobello, Locorotondo, Ceglie, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Ostuni. Here, everywhere, you can eat the delights of “land” bomblets, capocollo of Martina Franca, fresh cheeses podolici or more seasoned, broad beans with chicory, orecchiette with tomato sauce with ricotta marzotica. A Special mention, for the most demanding, deserves Rock Park Lama D’Antico. It hosts one of the most picturesque rocky settlements of Puglia. The walk in the Park takes place in an enchanting natural landscape animated by ancient olive groves and deeply immersed in the Mediterranean vegetation. Weekend in Santanna will be a mixture of flavors and scents of Puglia, a wave of the sea, trulli, oak, dry stone walls and rock settlements to regenerate yourself from the urban stress.
